English

Objective: The academic migration of elites has become a serious challenge for Iran's educational system. This study aimed to predict academic migration intention based on psychological capital, and subjective vitality among gifted (SAMPAD) high school students in Shiraz.
Methodology: The research method was descriptive-correlational. The statistical population included 1,200 SAMPAD students, from which a sample of 291 students was selected using proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected using standard questionnaires of Psychological Capital (Luthans, 2007), Subjective Vitality (Ryan & Frederick, 1997), and a researcher-made academic migration intention questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression tests.
Findings: Results showed that psychological capital (r = -0.42) and subjective vitality (r = -0.38) had a significant negative relationship with migration intention. The combination of two variables explained 41% of the variance in migration intention (R² = 0.41),
Conclusion: To reduce the academic migration intention of elites, it is necessary to strengthen psychological capital and subjective vitality while reducing the perception of educational injustice, thereby providing the groundwork for their retention within the country's educational system.
