English

Introduction and Objective:
In today's world, media literacy and the use of information and communication technology (ICT) have emerged as two essential pillars of effective and desirable teaching in the classroom, attracting significant attention from experts in the field. These factors contribute to enhancing the quality of teachers' instruction. The present study aimed to predict teachers' teaching quality based on their media literacy and ICT competencies.
Research Methodology:
This descriptive-correlational study included all teachers working in Juyom County during the 2023–2024 academic year. A stratified random sampling method was employed to select 152 participants (87 women and 65 men) as the statistical sample. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires: the Teaching Quality Questionnaire (Kyriakides et al., 2000), the Media Literacy Questionnaire (Falsafi, 2014), and the ICT Questionnaire (Ghasemi, 2012). Pearson correlation and multiple regression analyses were conducted for data analysis (p ≤ 0.05).
Findings:
Media literacy and ICT showed a significant positive correlation with teachers' teaching quality. Dimensions of media literacy and ICT were predictive of teaching quality.

Discussion and Conclusion:
The findings suggest that educational systems striving for excellence and nurturing student potential require teachers who possess professional competencies, particularly in effective teaching. Given the pervasive role of technology in education, teachers must leverage media literacy and ICT to optimize their instructional practices.
